This maternity session combined a few of my most favorite things: the beach, gorgeous golden light, a sweet and fun couple and an adorable puppy! When this expectant momma sat down to talk to me about planning a newborn photo session, I asked if she was planning to do maternity photos also, since we’re offering a Newborn & Mini Maternity Special Package right now. She was reluctant.
Like many, she doesn’t love having her picture taken and doesn’t like being the center of attention, but I promised we would keep it a relaxed and simple shoot and that she wouldn’t regret it. I hope I followed through on my promise. When we arrived at this very off-the-map beach, there was only one other person there. Relaxed? check! We didn’t use much for props, which is how I prefer most maternity shoots. Simple? check! And then we got some seriously gorgeous images that will hopefully always remind this couple of this incredibly exciting time in their lives.
The light was soft and pretty when we arrived at the beach, but within half an hour the sun began to set and made for very different but equally beautiful shots.
